Stressful situations are, more often than not, something that is completely out of our control. This reaction was designed to be used in emergency situations, but with life evolving faster than our bodies, we are using our natural resources far too often, and faster than we can replenish them.
How does Ayurveda explain stress?
Stress in Ayurveda is all about the delicate balance between your three vital energies, also known as doshas; Vata, Pitta and Kapha. However, keeping this balance is all about fine tuning, kind of like trying to find the perfect signal on your radio. Examples of this would be staying warm, which helps your Vata dosha stay balanced, staying hydrated helps your Pitta dosha stay balanced and avoiding eating rice every day helps your Kapha dosha stay balanced.
